Details:

A lacy lampshade knitting pattern is a little bit unusual, but I think knitted lampshades are so contemporary and they do make a room feel cosy.

When I was designing the lampshade I knew I wanted to have lot of holes in it to allow the light through more in some places than other, and this works to great effect when the lamp is lit. And the colour of the yarn used means that the lampshade give a lovely warm light with an orange glow.

To make the lampshade you first knit the panel, and then using a lampshade kit you can assemble the lampshade. There is a help video on Youtube called 'TeaCosyFolk Help Video For a Knitted Lampshade' to show you the whole process. Once you have seen it done it's easier than you'd expect and it gives you a professional finish.

About the Shop

TeaCosyFolk

TeaCosyFolk is a website dedicated to the humble tea cosy. But our tea cosies are far from humble; in fact our tea cosy range is oozing with bags of character. At TeaCosyFolk our ethos is that everyone should have a tea cosy or even two for when one is in the wash. Whether you buy or make your own tea cosy or give or receive a tea cosy as a gift, tea cosies are charming and practical, speak volumes about their owners, essential for tea making and a very British institution.
