Details:

The tea cosy features a bunting lined street of Victorian town houses. And above the roof tops is the crown in it's full glory.

What I love about the houses is that you can knit the doors to be the colours of your neighbours front doors and make it look like your own street.

The crown has a bit of luxury with the King Cole Cuddles Chunky White for the crown's ermine at the bottom. The arches of the arms are knitted in a holey pattern to give the appearance of sculpted precious metal.

The bunting is knitted in red, white and blue for a touch of patriotism. To get the flags nice and flat, I pinned the bunting out with a pin at each flag tip and heated with a hairdryer and allowed to cool before removing the pins. That's the secret to non-curly flags.

It's a lovely commemorative tea cosy that looks amazing and is also great fun to use for royal celebrations.

About the Shop

TeaCosyFolk

TeaCosyFolk is a website dedicated to the humble tea cosy. But our tea cosies are far from humble; in fact our tea cosy range is oozing with bags of character. At TeaCosyFolk our ethos is that everyone should have a tea cosy or even two for when one is in the wash. Whether you buy or make your own tea cosy or give or receive a tea cosy as a gift, tea cosies are charming and practical, speak volumes about their owners, essential for tea making and a very British institution.
