The Greenhouse Tea Cosy knitting pattern was inspired by news that greenhouse sales have gone thought the roof in the past 2 years as people turn to gardening and growing their own during the pandemic.

The main part of the tea cosy forms the greenhouse, and I have used Stylecraft Silver for the glass and white for the wooden structure.

I thought it would be fun to have an oversized tomato growing out of the greenhouse ventilation window. Who wouldn't want to wake up to find a prize winning tomato?

Also outside the greenhouse is a watering can, a few buttercups and a sunflower in a plant pot. They add interest from all views and they are things that tend to be found hanging around the greenhouse.

We're all more nature aware these days and I thought it would be lovely to add a little bit of wildlife to the tea cosy, so I made a little hedgehog. He's hiding around the side and he's looking for tasty slugs.
